Minister meets UNESCO official

Manama, Nov. 19 (BNA): Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi has met with Stefania Giannini, Assistant Director-General of UNESCO for education sector. The two sides explored cooperation and the UNESCOs’ support and cooperation with the ministry to develop academic, technical and vocational education curricula. They also explored benefiting from the UNESCO expertise in the establishment of Isa Al Kabeer’s "Al Hidaya Alkhalifia" University. Giannini expressed the organization’s readiness to cooperate with Bahrain in various fields, praising the Kingdom’s cooperation with the UNESCO in its specialty areas. She expressed her support to the ministry’s efforts to achieve the shared goals especially the accomplishment of the UNESCO Strategy 2030 (SDGs Goal4), as well as consider the provision of the requisite expertise. Shaikha Wafaa Al Khalifa, Deputy Representative and Cultural Advisor of Bahrain in Paris was also present.
