Yemen, IOM seek to improve African refugees situations in Aden
ADEN, April 11 (Saba)- Governor of Aden Adnan al-Jefri discussed on
Saturday with the representative of International Organization for
Migration (IOM) the possibility to enhance support presented by EU
to improve situations of the African refugees in Yemen.
The discussion dealt with pricey in the Yemeni regional waters and
its dingers that threat marine movements.
Al-Jefri mentioned his governorate's sufferings due to the
increasing number of illegal emigrants from the African Horn and
Somalia in particular.
For his part, the IOM's representative noted that his organization
seeks to open an office in Aden soon to take care of the African
refugees in the governorate.
He pointed out the organization would qualify Somali refugees and
provide them with skills and experiences to qualify them for the
labor market.
