Rebels blamed for elder murder in Saada

SAADA, April 11 (Saba) - A tribal elder has been murdered in the
northern province of Saada, a killing for which Houthi followers
have been blamed.

Governor of Saada Hassan Muhammad Mana' condemned the killing of
Yahya Qroosh in an incident that followed, according to
police, the killing his two sons and taking over his farms and other
property in the Magz district.

Mana' said Houthi outlaws had ambushed Qroosh while he was
returning home from a visit to the Ghamr district where he made sure
that reconciliation process between the Houthi rebels and the
authority was going well.

One of his escorts was wounded as the car which carried them came
under a hail of heavy gunfire.

Recently, the district saw new confrontations between the two sides
in which the rebels take over several state facilities.

A local mediator committee was set up to reach reconciliation.

The governor blamed the Houthi rebels for the murder of Qroosh
saying, Houthis continue to violate the law across the province.

He warned against Houthi outlaw acts, affirming the authorities will
stand up for those who are trying to destabilize Yemen.
