Bahrain reiterates denunciation of Israeli settlements in occupied Palestine

Manama, Nov. 20 (BNA): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates the Kingdom of Bahrain’s firm rejection of Israeli settlements in the State of Occupied Palestine, which is in violation of international law and resolutions of the international legitimacy, in particular the Security Council Resolution 2334 of 2016, that states to completely stop settlement in the occupied Palestinian territories in 1967, including East Jerusalem. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirms that the construction of settlements has serious repercussions that would hinder efforts to reach a just and comprehensive peace in the region based on a two-state solution and lead to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant international resolutions.
