Al-Qirbi highlights Yemeni-GCC ties




SANA'A, April 12 (Saba)-Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi highlighted on Sunday
level of the relations between Yemen and countries of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)
in different fields.

In a meeting held in the Yemeni embassy in Riyadh, al-Qirbi said that the recent
visits of President Ali Abdullah Saleh to United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Bahrain
and Kuwait were fruitful and gave a strong push for the brotherly relations between
Yemen and the Gulf countries.

He pointed out to the concern of the GCC leaderships to develop ties with Yemen and
integrate the Yemeni economy intro the Gulf economics.

Al-Qirbi also praised Yemeni-Saudi ties in particular and Yemeni -Gulf relations in
general, pointing out to the coordination between Yemen and Saudi Arabia in
different fields.

He called for opening further horizons of the mutual cooperation between the two
countries and pace the measures of integration of the Yemeni economy into the GCC
economics.

The minister also reviewed current political developments in the country such as
delaying of the parliamentary elections for two years , saying such move was to
serve national interests and the democracy.
