Foreign Minister receives US Department of State official

Manama, Nov. 25 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received in his office at the Ministry’s General Court today, the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Arabian Gulf Affairs in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs at the United States Department of State, Mr. Timothy A. Lenderking, in the presence of the Ambassador of the United States to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed Mr. Timothy A. Lenderking, expressing his pride in the deep-rooted cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States. He added that such cooperation is constantly developing at the political, security and economic levels, thus reflecting the keenness of both countries to constantly find new means of cooperation and continue mutual coordination towards regional and international issues and enhance the strategic alliance for their joint interests. He also appreciated the US commitment to work with its allies to establish peace and security in the region. Mr. Timothy A. Lenderking expressed his pleasure to have met the Minister of Foreign Affairs, hailing the distinguished level of relations between the Kingdom and the U.S. at all levels. He also expressed his appreciation for the Kingdom’s policies and its endeavours to enhance peace and security.
