KPU HOLDS VOTE RERUN IN 13 POLLING STATIONS IN LAMPUNG
Bandarlampung, April 13 (ANTARA)- Regional election commission (KPUD) in Lampung Selatan district on Sunday held a vote rerun in 13 polling stations (TPS) at Rangai Tritunggal village, following April 9 legislative polls.
Antara learned here that eligible voters were enthusiastic to exercise their political rights to elect candidates for the House of Representatives (DPR-RI), Regional Representative Council (DPD) and the Regional legislative councils (DPRD).
Ranking officials of the district such as Regent Wendy Melfa and chief of the local police precinct, Senior Commissioner Umar Dhani observed the vote rerun in the location.
The vote rerun was held at the 13 TPS because the ballots distributed to the 13 polling stations for last Thursday's elections were mixed with ballots designed for other constituencies, said TPS-8 chairman Sanusi, adding that the number of illegible voters in the location reached 4,864.
Up till Sunday (April 12) morning, Lampung provincial vote tally showed that Democrat Party was still leading with 21.4 percent, followed by PDI-P 14.9 percent, Golkar party 14.4 percent, PKS 8.7 percent and PAN 5.6 percent.
