Jeenbekov on CSTO CSC narrow format talks

Bishkek, Nov.28, 2019. /Kabar/. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov declared open the regular session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in extended format.
The Kyrgyz leader cordially welcomed all participants in the hospitable Kyrgyz land, and declared open the plenary session of the CSTO Collective Security Council. He briefly voiced the results of the narrow format session.
He said in the course of the narrow format talks, the participants discussed a wide range of issues in a constructive and trusting manner. They openly exchanged views on topical issues of regional and global security.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov noted the session participants reached full understanding on all issues on the agenda of the CSTO session.
“We also discussed the main results of the Organization's activity in the inter-sessional period and the measures taken to counteract modern challenges and threats to security," he said, and noted that the current directions of activity for the next year have been identified.
The CSTO Summit in Bishkek is attended by Presidents of Kyrgyzstan - Sooronbay Jeenbekov, Belarus - Alexander Lukashenko, Kazakhstan - Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Russia - Vladimir Putin, Tajikistan - Emomali Rahmon, as well as Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev and CSTO Acting Secretary General Valery Semerikov.
