Jeenbekov discusses with Mirziyoyev prospects of Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation

Bishkek, Nov.29, 2019. /Kabar/. Today, Nov. 29, 2019 Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov held talks with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The meeting took place as part of the Second Consultative Meeting of Heads of Central Asian States. The two Presidents noted with satisfaction the positive dynamics of development of Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations, based on centuries-old bonds of friendship and good neighborliness. The heads of state also discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation, measures to enhance trade and economic, cultural, humanitarian and border interaction between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Jeenbekov and Mirziyoyev outlined joint plans for the coming period for further interaction between the two countries, and also expressed interest in expanding the entire spectrum of Kyrgyz-Uzbek strategic cooperation. The agenda of the Second Consultative Meeting of Heads of Central Asian States includes the expansion of regional cooperation in political, trade and economic, investment, transport and communication, cultural and humanitarian and other areas. The Meeting is expected to result in the adoption of the final document. The delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic includes Minister of Foreign Affairs Chingiz Aidarbekov, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the President's Office Daniyar Sydykov, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan Ibrahim Junusov, Deputy Prime Minister Jenish Razakov, Minister of Economy Sanjar Mukanbetov and Minister of Transport and Roads Zhanat Beishenov.
