C SULAWESI GOVERNOR INVITES KOREAN BUSINESSPEOPLE TO INVEST
Palu, Apr 13 (ANTARA) - Central Sulawesi Governor HB Paliudju has invited South Korean businesspeople to make an investment in natural resources development in the province.
He made the invitation to the South Korean investors during a meeting between the regional administration and Central Sulawesi businessmen and Jeollanam-Do Governor Park Joon Yung, in the company of scores of South Korea businesspeople, at Swiss Belhotel here Sunday night.
On the occasion, Governor Paliudju said that the province comprising 10 regencies and cities has highly potential natural resources including the fishery and marine sector, agriculture, plantations, minerals, natural oil and gas.
Many of these potentials, he said, have yet to be developed optimally, and therefore need handling by private businesses, including South Korean businesspeople.
He also hoped to the regents, mayors, and heads of the relevant government agencies in the province who were present on the occasion, for their full support to the South Korean investors planning to do business in the province.
In the meantime, Jeollanam-Do Governor Park Joon Yung said his side including the South Korea investors have the necessary skills in research, technology, and funding for establishing intense and serious cooperation between the Central Sulawesi provincial administration and South Korea's Jeollanam-Do province.
Governor Park and an entourage visited Palu with a view to establishing a sister province cooperation between Central Sulawesi and Jeollanam-Do.
The sister province cooperation in this case in the form of a Letter of Intent (LOI) is scheduled to be signed by the two governors following a celebration of the 45th anniversary of Central Sulawesi Province on Monday (Apr 13) at the Central Sulawesi Governor's Office here.
Governor Park's entourage includes Jeollanam-Do Ambasssador/International Affairs Advisor Yoo Jung Hee, Economic and Scientific Affairs Director Jung Byong Jae, Chairman of the Green Ocean Team of the Korean Research and Technological Production Kim Kyong Soo, and Wando Regent Kim Jong Sik.
The businessmen include Jeonnam Feed president director Chung Kyong Wo, Jo & Summit president director Choi Min Ho, P&P Invesment president director Bahk He Suk, Zero House president director Kim Sung Mo, PT Sambo Development president director Kim Haeng Young, Hang Sung president director Im Chui Soo, Blo & MASS president director Kong Young Taek, and Lucky Industrial president director Park Heung Sok.
