Kyrgyzstan’s tourism potential presented at Winternational Embassy Showcase

Bishkek, Dec.6, 2019. /Kabar/. The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan yesterday, Dec.5 took part in the Winternational-8th Annual Embassy Showcase with the participation of Embassies and international organizations, accredited in Washington, DC.
According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Embassy, the event was attended by over 60 foreign Embassies, accredited in the U.S. The purpose of the festival is to demonstrate the tourist, economic, cultural and humanitarian potential of foreign countries.
The annual festival is organized by the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center with the support of the City Hall of Washington, as well as a number of public organizations.
Welcoming speeches at the opening ceremony of the festival were made by Vice President of the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center Andrew Gelfuso, Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs Marie Royce, a representative of the City Hall of Washington and the heads of public organizations.
In the course of the event, the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in the U.S demonstrated to the event participants products of the leading Kyrgyz masters of traditional applied arts, samples of foodstuffs, national clothes, brochures and booklets about tourism and investment potential of the Kyrgyz Republic.
This year, the event attracted more than 6,000 visitors, who were able to discover Kyrgyz cultural and culinary traditions, as well as make traditional New Year's purchases.
