Unfinished judicial reform hinder development of country, President

Bishkek, Dec.9, 2019./Kabar/. Unfinished judicial reform and its setback have become one of the barriers to the development of the country, President Sooronbay Jeenbekov said at the solemn event, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the judiciary system of Kyrgyzstan.
Therefore, there is need to strictly continue the course of reforms and achieve their successful completion. The state provides full support to the courts in this matter.
“At the same time, many issues are dealt with within the judiciary and they are largely dependent on the judges themselves. Of course, the courts must be independent. It is necessary to exclude the possibility of erroneous decisions being made under the influence of others. Each judge is responsible to the country and society for the decisions taken," he said.
In 1924, the Kara-Kyrgyz regional court began its activity. Its first chairman was Lev Averburg. From this period onwards, the judicial system of Kyrgyzstan began to develop. After the establishment of the Main Court of the Kyrgyz Autonomus Socialist Soviet Republic (ASSR), its chairmen at different times were such historical figures as Tekeyev Imanbek and Imanaly Aidarbekov. The Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz SSR was established in 1936.
