Sooronbay Jeenbekov arrives in St. Petersburg

Bishkek, Dec.20, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov has arrived in St. Petersburg, Russia to attend the regular meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (SEEC), his press service reported.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov will participate in the SEEC meetings in a narrow and extended formats.
Besides, the President will take part in an informal meeting of the heads of the CIS member states.
The delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic includes Minister of Foreign Affairs Chingiz Aidarbekov, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the President's Office Daniyar Sydykov, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Russia Alikbek Dzhekshenkulov, Deputy Prime Minister Jenish Razakov, Minister of Economy Sanjar Mukanbetov.
The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council is the highest supranational body of the Eurasian Economic Union.
"Current issues of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council’s work will be considered, while objectives aimed at deepening future cooperation and enhancing the functioning of common market of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will be outlined," the Kremlin said.
The session will sum up results of the Eurasian Economic Commission’s four-year operation and will nominate a new chairperson and members of the Collegium of the Eurasian Economic Commission, who will assume their duties on February 1, 2020, the Kremlin said.
