India considers building pharmaceutical plant in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Dec.23, 2019 /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to India Asein Isayev met on Friday with Indian Minister of Trade and Industry Piyush Goyal, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said. At the meeting, the sides touched upon the preliminary results of the year in trade and economic cooperation and plans for the next year. It was noted that the year was full of bilateral activities and the minister expressed his views on a number of areas. In particular, Piyush Goyal singled out a number of new positions that have prospects of import from Kyrgyzstan. He also noted the need to simplify the supply of Indian pharmaceutical products to the Kyrgyz Republic to reduce the cost of medicines. In this regard, the Indian minister of trade and industry appreciated the proposal to build a modern pharmaceutical plant in Kyrgyzstan. The sides also noted that the introduction of the fifth freedom for air carriers will increase tourist flow to Kyrgyzstan. Asein Isayev and Piyush Goyal agreed to hold in Bishkek meeting of the Kyrgyz-Indian Inter-Governmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation in the first quarter of next. Minister Piyush Goyal expressed his desire to personally lead the Indian delegation.
