Over 20000 Somali refugees reach Yemeni coastlines

SANA'A, April 13 (Saba) - About 700 Somali refugees have reached in
the first week of April Yemen's coasts as the government is further
worrying of the increasing affluence of Somalis to the country.

European promises to effort more aids to help the country in
provided the necessity aids.

Those Somali refugees, including 204 women and 20 children, have
reached separately in voyages Taiz, Shabwa, Abyan and Hadramout
governorates.

Official sources said that the refugees were gathered and sent to
the Kharaz Refugees Camp in Lahj governorate in coordination with
the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

Yemen faces many economic problems from the increased of refugees
displacement from the African Horn.

Yemeni coastlines received more than 2500 Somalis in last March.
Over 20000 Somali refugees reached Yemen during the first three
months of 2009.
