President: Future of every country depends on its educated youth

Bishkek, Dec.27, 2019. /Kabar/. "The future of every country depends on its smart, educated youth," President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov said on Friday at the ceremony of awarding presidential scholarships to the best students of higher education institutions of the country on the results of 2019.
Jeenbekov noted those present distinguished among more than 160 thousand students of the country with their knowledge and diligence, congratulated them on receiving the presidential scholarship.
He stressed that after some time, the young generation will be entrusted with the task of leading the country into the future, which requires true patriotism, possession of quality knowledge and hard work to achieve the country's development goals.
The head of state named the provision of education meeting the requirements of the time as one of the priority tasks. He noted that a new strategy covering the most priority areas of education will soon be adopted, a competitive education system has been built.
"There is a process of intellectualization of any activity. Only well-educated societies can withstand global competition. The future will require you to be able to acquire new knowledge anytime, anywhere," the President stressed.
Jeenbekov added the digitalization of the country and technological modernization of the economy require the best personnel with high-quality training.
The Kyrgyz leader noted the scholarship grantees have special hopes, wished them good health, happiness and prosperity, and also congratulated them on the coming New Year.
The presidential scholarship is awarded annually to the best students of the country for achievements in study and social life.
This year, 74 students from 31 universities from all over the country were awarded the scholarship on a competitive basis.
The best students of the country are awarded a commendation letter and a scholarship amounting KGS 50,000 for one academic year (10 months).
