JAPANESE, INDONESIAN HANDICRAFTS TO BE DISPLAYED IN SURABAYA
Surabaya, East Java, April 14 (ANTARA) - Handicrafts from Japan and Indonesia will be displayed at the House of Sampoerna Gallery, here, from April 16 to May 10, 2009, under the theme of "Te-Collabo" or "Technology Collaboration".
"The exhibition is to present a collaboration between arts and technology from the two countries which are different and produce unique and exclusive handicrafts," Rani Anggraini, the gallery's marketing manager, said here on Tuesday.
The expo will display among other things 'kimono' clothing and 'obi' sash made of silk batik.
