INDOGREEN FORESTRY EXPO BEING HELD IN JAKARTA
Jakarta, April 14 (ANTARA) - Forestry Minister MS Kaban is scheduled to officially open an Indogreen Forestry Expo 2009 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) here on Tuesday.
The theme of the forestry expo being held until April 17, is "Save The Forest, Save The World", according to a press statement of the forestry ministry received by ANTARA here on Tuesday.
Among companies participating in the Indogreen Forestry Expo 2009 are PT. Musi Hutan Persada, PT. Sinar Mas Group, PT. REKI, FLEGT, state electricity company PT. PLN, several mining companies, and state-owned enterprises.
Representatives of the Mining Reclamation Forum, regional forestry offices, the public works ministry, and the energy and mineral resources ministry, are also taking part in the expo.
The exhibition is aimed at introducing to the national and international communities about the progresses and developments in the forestry sector.
The expo is organized by the forestry ministry in cooperation with PT. Wahyu Promo Citra.
The event is also aimed at promoting forestry products, technologies and services, and attracting investors to put their money in the forestry, agriculture, plantation, mining and tourism sectors.
The forestry minister is also scheduled to hold a dialog on "The Tree Planting National Movement, One Man One Tree'.
