Gulf delegation to review Yemen's preparations for 20th Gulf Cup
ADEN, April 14 (Saba)- A Gulf sport delegation is to start an
official visit to Yemen next Wednesday to review Yemen's
preparations for hosting the 20th Gulf Cup scheduled to be held in
2010.
The delegation, headed by Bahrain Football Association (BFA)'s
President Sheikh Salman Bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifah, will include a
number of Secretaries General of Football Associations in the GCC's
countries.
"During its visit, the delegation will hold official talks with
Yemen Football Association (YFA) and BFA on the bilateral ties and
availing from the Bahraini experience in holding the championships",
YFA's Secretary-General Hameed al-Shaibani said.
Al-Shaibani added that the talks will deal with the BFA's notes on
Yemen's preparations for organizing the 20th Gulf Cup as well as
consulting over the upcoming elections of the Union of Arab Football
Association (UAFA) and (FIFA).
The Gulf delegation will get acquainted with the equipments in the
sports infrastructures in Al-Wahda stadium in Abyan province and 22
May stadium in Aden as well as other training stadiums and housing
preparations.
