MILD EARTHQUAKE JOLTS SUMENEP

Jakarta, April 15 (ANTARA) - An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale hit Sumenep, East Java, on Wednesday, at 6.39 am local time.

The quake's epicenter was located at 5.45 degrees southern latitude, 115.06 degrees eastern longitude, at a depth of 694 km, around 216 km northeast of Sumenep, or 258 km northeast of Pamekasan, East Java, according to information of the national meteorological and geophysics office here on Wednesday.
