Kyrgyzstan receives coronavirus diagnostic tools from Russia

Bishkek, Feb.5, 2020. /Kabar/. Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Altynai Omurbekova held another meeting of the Republican Headquarters for Preventing Import and Further Spread of Coronavirus in the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the press service of the Government, Omurbekova said there are no confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country today, and the epidemiological situation is stable.
She called on citizens not to spread incorrect information.
In the course of the meeting, Minister of Health Kosmosbek Cholponbayev explained the Health Ministry has prepared an algorithm for action according to the World Health Organization's guidelines.
Citizens arriving from China are examined and hospitalized at health organizations and boxing wards, where they are monitored and treated for influenza and acute respiratory infections.
All arrivals, even through third countries, also undergo thermometry and laboratory testing of upper respiratory tract samples. Citizens are temporarily placed in a quarantine zone until the results of the examination are available. Everything is available for testing in the country. Laboratories are accredited by WHO and staff are trained.
In turn, people who have arrived from Wuhan city even in the absence of clinical manifestations necessarily undergo medical supervision.
The minister said Kyrgyz medics received special reagents from their Russian colleagues to detect coronavirus within a few hours.
It was noted that all checkpoints of the republic, airports in Bishkek and Osh have sanitary control sections and quarantine zones.
Representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Emergency Situations and the State Border Service provided information on the measures taken.
At the end of the meeting, Deputy PM Omurbekova gave a number of instructions, in particular, to continue to strengthen monitoring of the epidemiological situation in the country, pointed out the need to ensure a clear implementation of the whole range of preventive measures.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been instructed to continue working with citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic located in the territory of t China to provide the necessary assistance to protect their rights and health.
