Bilateral talks between Kyrgyzstan, Turkey on transport and roads held in Ankara

Bishkek, Feb.7, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Roads and Transport Janat Beishenov and Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey Mehmet Cahit Turhan pursued negotiations on Wednesday in Ankara city, Turkey.
During the talks such important issues as the resumption of flights en the route "Osh-Istanbul-Osh" with the application of the 5th freedom, operation of flights by Turkish airlines, etc. were discussed.
Mehmet Cahit Turhan added a number of Turkish companies are interested in the construction of terminals at Manas and Osh airports.
The sides also considered other issues of bilateral cooperation.
Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliyev, as well as all deputy transport and infrastructure ministers of Turkey took part in the bilateral negotiations.
Minister Janat Beishenov also familiarized with the activity of the new Istanbul Grand Airport (IGA), located in the European part of Istanbul on the Black Sea coast, which amazes with its size, capacity and infrastructure.
The airport’s capacity is 90 million passengers, and by 2023 it plans up to 200 million passengers per year.
