Jeenbekov offers condolences to Turkish leader for loss of life during avalanche

Bishkek, Feb.7, 2020. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov expressed condolences to Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the people of Turkey over the victims of an avalanche in Van Province, his press service said on Friday. "I was deeply saddened to hear the news about the human casualties caused by an avalanche in Van Province. On behalf of the people of the Kyrgyz Republic and myself, I express my deep condolences to you and the people of Turkey. I share the bitterness of loss with the families and friends of the victims," the letter of condolence runs. The Kyrgyz President wished speedy recovery to all the victims. The death toll rose to 41 from two avalanches Tuesday and Wednesday in the eastern Turkish province of Van. Two others are still missing but authorities say they probably lost their lives under tons of snow, Daily Sabah reported.
