Bishkek, Feb.10, 2020. /Kabar/. The situation at the Kyrgyz-Kazakh section of the state border is stable. Checkpoints at the state border with Kazakhstan operate in a normal mode, the press service of the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan reported on Monday. Border guards carry out passport control and inspection of vehicles and cargo to identify drugs and their precursors, weapons and ammunition, and explosives prohibited for transport across the state border. All citizens crossing the state border are checked with a thermal imaging camera for excessive temperature or physical ailment. There is a tendency for return of Kazakh citizens who entered Kyrgyzstan on Feb.7-8, 2020. On those days, more than 4 thousand citizens of Kazakhstan entered the Kyrgyz Republic through the Ken-Bulun-Avtodorozhnyi and Tokmok-Avtodorozhnyi checkpoints. According to Kazakhstani law enforcement agencies, a mass brawl between residents of Masanchi village, Korday District, Jambyl Region occurred on Feb.7. “Police forces have localized the conflict and the situation is under control," the press service of the Jambyl Region Police Department said.
