Iran attaches great importance to cultural relations with Kyrgyzstan, ambassador

Bishkek, Feb.12, 2020 /Kabar/. Ambassador of Iran to Kyrgyzstan Saeed Kharrazi visited the National Library of Kyrgyzstan named after Alykul Osmonov, Kabar Agency has learnt from the press service of the Library. During the visit, the Iranian ambassador noted that great attention will be paid to bilateral relations, cultural issues between the states, as an important task is to preserve the cultural values of the people, which include books and libraries. At a meeting with Director of Kyrgyzstan’s National Library Jyldyz Bakashova, Ambassador Kharrazi said that this is his second meeting, after the meeting on the resumption of direct flight en route Tehran-Bishkek-Tehran. He specifically noted that his visit to the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic is held on the day of the 41st anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran. Saeed Kharrazi familiarized himself with the activities and cultural centers of the National Library. Director of the Library Bakashova thanked the Iranian ambassador for attention and support, and noted the importance of activation of bilateral cooperation in cultural and humanitarian sphere and holding joint events. The Centre of Persian literature, established with the support of the Embassy of Iran in Kyrgyzstan, has been functioning in the Kyrgyz National library since 2002.
