Yemen, China to start talks on judicial cooperation soon
SANA'A, April 15 (Saba)- Yemeni-Chinese talks co-chaired by Attorney
General Abdullah al-Olofi and his Chinese counterpart is to start
next Saturday in the capital Sana'a for reinforcing the bilateral
cooperation ties in the judicial field.
A high level Chinese delegation headed by Chinese Attorney General
will arrive in Sana'a next Friday in an official visit to Yemen
which will take several days, al-Olofi told Saba on Wednesday .
Al-Olofi made it clear that the visit comes within the frame of
strengthening the friendship and cooperation relations between the
two friendly countries in the judicial field.
The two countries' prosecutions will sign a memorandum of
understanding including promoting cooperation and judicial
assistance, exchanging experiences and visits, the judicial system's
legislations and relevant publications and documents, al-Olofi
indicated.
He added that, during the visit, the Chinese delegation will get
acquainted with the Public Prosecution's experience in combating
corruption, public money protection and other fields related to the
prosecution's framework.
Worth noting that the agenda of the Chinese delegation's visit will
include holding several meetings with the Yemeni judicial
leaderships and Supreme National Anti-Corruption Commission (SNACC).
Yemen and China signed last March, in the capital Sana'a, two
cooperation agreements in the judicial field related to the criminal
issues and criminals extradition.
Meanwhile, the two countries are looking forward to completing
signing the judicial cooperation agreement in the trade and civil
issues and sentenced persons extradition .
