EU allocates 4 mln euro to support Social Welfare Fund

SANA'A, April 15 (Saba) - The Executive Manager of Social Welfare
Fund Mansour al-Faidey held Wednesday talks with Team Leader of
Technical assistance to Support Social Welfare Fund of the European
Union Arjen Sterk on the launch of the third phase of the project at
acost four million euro.

The talks dealt with a number of issues regarding to the third phase
of the project concentrating on the conditional cash transfer,
developing the institution capacities and promoting the
decentralization system in the SWF head office and branches.

During the meeting, Al-Faidey praised what has been done during the
first and second phases of the project to support Social Welfare
Fund in the field of SWF organizational structures, develop the SWF
cadres and conduct a survey of SWF beneficiaries which target poor
families in Yemen.

For his part, Team Leader of EU project expressed his appreciation
for the distinctive relation between the project and SWF, affirming
readiness of the great contribution to support the SWF performance
to realize its goals.
