Ambassador Omuraliyev acquaints with venue of 2020 WNG in Turkey

Bishkek, Feb.19, 2020. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliyev made a working trip to the Turkish cities of Bursa and Iznik, the press service of the Kyrgyz MFA reported. As part of the trip to Bursa, the ambassador met with Bursa Province Governor Yakup Dzhanbolat. The parties discussed the need to expand trade, economic and investment cooperation between the countries. They also touched upon the preparation of the Fourth World Nomad Games (WNG), to be held in Iznik city, Bursa Province in September 2020. Ambassador Omuraliyev expressed readiness of the Kyrgyz side to share the experience of organizing and conducting the World Nomad Games, previously held three times in Kyrgyzstan, and noted the need to participate in the Games Kyrgyz students studying at the Ulugdag University (Bursa) as volunteers. In addition, the Kyrgyz ambassador emphasized the symbolism of holding the IV WNG in the city of Iznik, where the Kyrgyz Tyurbesi memorial is located, which is a cultural and historical bridge between the two brotherly peoples. For his part, Governor Yakup Dzhanbolat assured that he would prepare additional information about the above memorial for placement in tourist booklets about the city. “During the trip, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Kubanychbek Omuraliyev met with Mayor of Iznik Kagan Mehmet Usta, with whom they inspected the venue of the Fourth World Nomad Games,” the report says. World Nomad Games are an international sport competition dedicated to ethnic sports practiced in Central Asia. The countries taking part in those games are the former Soviet republics of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Russia as well as other countries like Mongolia, Turkey, Afghanistan, Philippines and the United States. The first three World Nomad Games were held in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan; however, Turkey has been announced as the host of the fourth games.
