Kyrgyzstan bags 5 medals at Asian Championship in India

Bishkek, Feb.20, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s Greco-Roman wrestling team has completed its performance at the Asian Championship in India. The results have been published on the United World Wrestling website. The tournament ended yesterday in New Delhi. In the team rankings, Kyrgyzstan’s took the 6th place with a 119 scores, winning 5 medals. The national team has earned two silver (Azat Saladiniov up to 87kg, Zholaman Sharshenbekov up to 60kg), and three (Ilyaz Renat uulu up to 77kg, Roman Kim up to 130 kg and Ruslan Tsarev up to 72 kg) medals. Iran, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are in the top three. The women’s wrestling competitions will be held today, where Kyrgyz female wrestlers also part. Today, Feb.20 women wrestlers from Kyrgyzstan will take the carpet to compete in the female championships. The 2020 Asian Wrestling Championships was held at the KD Jadhav Indoor Stadium, Indira Gandhi Arena, New Delhi in India. The event took place from February 18 to February 23.
