PRESIDENT TO DEDICATE KTM IN SOUTH SUMATRA

Palembang, April 16 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is scheduled to dedicate a Self-reliant Integrated City (KTM) in Ogan Ilir district, South Sumatra, on June 23, 2009, a provincial administration spokesman said.

In addition to dedicating the Self-reliant Integrated City and a number of infrastructure projects in Ogan Ilir district, the president would also attend a National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) on transmigration in Palembang, the spokesman, Aidid Azis, said here Thursday.

At the site of KTM, the head of state would also dedicate a self-reliant mutual cooperation farmers group, present 30 units of sewing machine to the local people, and take part in a corn grand harvest.

The president would also inspect a 'healthy' house, and the site of a 'smart' house to be constructed in the near future.

Aidid Aziz said the function at KTM site would be attended by at least 20,000 guests including the farmers and local people of Ogan Illir district.

The transmigration national coordination meeting in Palembang would be attended by 1,200 representatives from 33 provinces across the country.
