Al-Arhabi comes back home from Jordan

SANA'A, April 16 (Saba) - Minister of Planning and International
Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi returned home on Thursday after
taking part in the 38th Annual Arab Financial Institutions Meeting
held in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

The meetings addressed in two days several issues related to develop
and strengthen Arab development joint work in many fields to serve
the Arab interests.

During the meeting with Arab Fund for Economic and Social
Development and Islamic Bank for Development, al-Arhabi has signed
four agreements to finance a number of projects in Yemen.

On the sidelines of the meetings, Al-Arhabi has signed with each of
Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD) and Islamic
Development Bank (IDB) four agreements to contribute in financing
several projects in the country.

The projects signed with AFESD were the second stage of the Main
Crossroad project in capital of Sana'a at a cost of $ 36 million and
the project of new runway for Taiz airport at a cost of $ 26 million.

The other agreements that were signed with IDB included a
contribution of $ 21.3 million to finance the grain silos at Salif
harbour and a grant of $ 239.000 to contribute in supporting Unit of
the Geographical Information Systems (GIS) at the capital of Sana'a.
