FEMALE BOXER SITI AISYAH EXPECTED TO IMPROVE PERFORMANCE

Medan, Indonesia, April 18 (ANTARA)- North Sumatra female boxer Siti Aisyah, a champion in last year's National Sports Week (PON)-XVII in East Kalimantan is expected to perform better in the centralized national training program for the SEA Games.

Edi Sibarani, secretary of the North Sumatra chapter of the Indonesian Boxing Association (Pertina), said here Saturday, Siti Aisyah, the only female boxer from Medan, should keep disciplined and abide by her coach's instructions.

Thus, she is expected to reach her ambition to perform better in the upcoming SEA Games which will be held in December 2009.

"Do believe that it will be difficult for a boxer to reach an achievement without having discipline and regular exercises," said
Sibarani, a former national boxers.

According to him, Siti Aisyah was the best boxer of the North Sumatra province, Sibarani disclosed, saying that Aisyah would be able to promote Indonesia's name in the SEA game in Laos.

Siti Aisyah was the only North Sumatra's boxer, which was asked by Pertina for the SEA Games preparation. ***
