China to send 15 medics to Kyrgyzstan to consult on combating COVID-19

Bishkek, Apr. 16, 2020. /Kabar/. China will send 15 medical specialists to Kyrgyzstan to consult on combating the COVID-19 coronavirus infection, Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbayev said at a news briefing. He added the Health Ministry's international department, together with the WHO Country Office in Kyrgyzstan are preparing to receive medical consultants. "We plan to create working conditions for them to be sent both to the north and south of the country to consult on the fight against COVID-19," said the chief medical doctor. As of Apr.16, 17 more cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Kyrgyzstan, 466 in total. Of these, 104 are cases of medical personnel infection. 91 people have recovered and discharged from hospitals. Death toll in the country has reached 5.
