Kyrgyzstan reports 23 new COVID-19 cases. 489 in total

Bishkek, Apr. 17, 2020 / Kabar /. 23 new confirmed COVID-19 cases have been registered in Kyrgyzstan past day, Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbaev told on Friday. He said that the most of new cases have been identified in Bishkek - 14, Chui oblast - 1, Issyk-Kul oblast - 2, Osh oblast - 4, Osh city - 2. Usenbaev said that among the newly infected 12 are medical workers, raising the total number of contracted medical workers to 116. “Among them there are contact ones. These are medical workers who work in laboratories, among patients in contact,” explained the deputy health minister. He also added that in total, 114 people have recovered from coronavirus infection in Kyrgyzstan. 23 patients with a diagnosis of COVID-19 were discharged from hospitals in the republic past day. Their repeated analyzes showed a negative result, he added.
