President Saleh invited to visit Iraq

SANA'A, April 19 (Saba) - President Ali Abdullah Saleh received here
on Sunday an invitation from Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to
visit Iraq.

The letter conveyed by the Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and
Scientific Research Abd Thiab al-Ajeeli dealt also with the
brotherly ties and joint cooperation between the two brotherly
countries.

During the meeting, the Iraqi Minister reviewed with the President
last developments in Iraq and several regional issues of common
concerns.

The president affirmed that Yemen stands by Iraq to maintain its
security, stability, sovereignty, independence and its national
unity so as to ensure ending occupation on Iraq, pointing to Yemen's
keenness on strengthening its relations with Iraq at different
levels.

Saleh asked the Iraqi Minister to convey its best regards and his
wishes of good heath and happiness to the Iraqi Premier and
continues prosperity for Iraqi people.
