48% of COVID-19 patients in Kyrgyzstan discharged from hospitals

Bishkek, Apr. 23, 2020. /Kabar/. 48% of patients with confirmed COVID-19 have been discharged from hospitals. It was noted during the meeting of the Republican Headquarters for Preventing Import and Further Spread of Coronavirus Infection in the Kyrgyz Republic. Kyrgyzstan’s Health Minister Sabirzhan Abdikarimov provided information regarding current epidemiological situation in the country. As of Apr. 23, 2020, 631 cases of COVID-19 infection have been registered in Kyrgyzstan. 321 patients are in hospitals, 5 of them in the intensive care unit. Death toll has reached 8 people. First Deputy Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov stressed that all places of observation in the regions should be ready to receive citizens. "The relevant state bodies are working on the organization of flights for the return of compatriots to their homeland. It is necessary to ensure readiness of observation points in the regions to receive citizens. Local authorities need to study the housing conditions of citizens recently arrived from Novosibirsk and, if necessary, prepare observational sites for them to properly observe further quarantine," Boronov said. During the meeting, it was noted the med.tunduk.kg platform specially designed for medical workers has started receiving applications from medics. The applications are being processed, and appropriate explanations and instructions have been given on all appeals. In addition, further actions on working with contact persons were discussed at the meeting. Profile bodies have been instructed to work out the issues of testing the residents of new buildings, districts where socially vulnerable groups live.
