Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan amounted to over $187M

Tashkent, Apr. 24, 2020. /Kabar/. The total volume of trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in January-March amounted to over $187.4 million. Of these, exports from Uzbekistan made $ 254.3, imports from Kyrgyzstan - $33.1, the press service of the Uzbek State Committee on Statistics reported. "The coronavirus pandemic, which has now spread to almost all countries in the world, has led to a reduction in international integration and closure of borders, which has a direct impact on foreign trade and living standards of the state," the Committee’s review reads. The volume of Uzbekistan's foreign trade in January-March fell by 10.2 % compared to the same period in 2019. The largest volume of Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover was recorded with Russia (16.9%), China (16.8%), Kazakhstan (8.3%), the Republic of Korea (6.7%), Turkey (5.8%), Kyrgyzstan (2.3%) and Germany (2.1%). Uzbekistan conducts trade relations with more than 150 countries.
