CIS launches media project "Memory Lines" dedicated to 75th anniversary of Victory

Bishkek, May 1, 2020 / Kabar /. On May 4, 2020, the international media project “Memory Lines” dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War will be launched in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the press service of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS (IPA CIS) reported. “IPA CIS launches a special project - a series of videos with poetic messages from the countries of the Commonwealth. In these videos, writers, actors, show business stars, Olympic champions, journalists, students read the work of the national poets of the war or post-war years, along with parliamentarians,” the statement said. The “Memory Lines” project was initiated by the CIS Interparliamentary Youth Assembly. Deputies and senators, representatives of the older generation, outstanding scientists, athletes and cultural figures from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan took part in the project. “The Memory Lines project aims to glorify our common Victory, unite the nations that prevailed in the war, the largest in the history of mankind, to draw attention to the rich literary heritage of the CIS countries,” the press service said. The videos will be posted on the IPA CIS website.
