Kyrgyzstan hands over Victory Relay to Tajikistan

Bishkek, May 7, 2020. /Kabar/. The Bordobo-Avtodorozhnyi checkpoint hosted the solemn ceremony of handing over the Victory Relay symbol by Kyrgyzstan's border guards to Tajikistan, the press service of the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic said. On the territory of Kyrgyzstan, the Victory Relay was held from May 2 to 7 in the cities of Bishkek and Osh. Taking into account the difficult situation associated with measures to prevent the spread of new coronavirus infection (COVID-19), it was decided to hold commemorative events in the Kyrgyz Republic on the route of the Victory Relay without involving the public. An international action dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War started on Feb. 5 in two directions at once - in the cities of Brest (Belarus) and Murmansk (Russia) and runs along the external borders of the CIS member states. A large-scale military-patriotic action Victory Relay will finish on May 28 in Moscow at the memorial complex "Tomb of the Unknown Soldier."
