Humanitarian cargo from China delivered to Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, May 11, 2020. /Kabar/. The People's Republic of China has provided medical supplies to the Kyrgyz Republic as humanitarian assistance. Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Akram Madumarov and Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen took part in the cargo handover ceremony, the Government press service reported. 100 thousand PCR-tests, 30 thousand medical glasses, 30 thousand N95 masks, 150 thousand medical masks and 1 thousand thermometers have been delivered by charter flight from China. Akram Madumarov noted that in addition to providing humanitarian assistance, the Chinese Government provides advisory support. "In April of this year, a medical expert group from China visited Kyrgyzstan, which trained staff from healthcare organizations, shared experience in fighting coronavirus, and visited a number of Kyrgyz medical facilities. I am convinced that with the spread of the infection, the humanitarian assistance provided by Chinese friends will allow us to strengthen measures to counter the common threat. On behalf of the Kyrgyz Government, I would like to express gratitude to the Government of China for its support," Madumarov said. In turn, Ambassador Du Dewen noted the Kyrgyz Republic was one of the first countries to provide humanitarian assistance to China to fight the coronavirus. Earlier, the Chinese Government provided the country humanitarian aid in the form of protective medical suits.
