Kyrgyz embassy takes part in laying wreath at Soviet war memorial in Berlin

On the occasion of the memorable date - the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the end of World War II on May 8, 2020, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Germany took part in laying wreaths at the Soviet military memorial in Pankov in Berlin, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported. This memorial complex is one of the three main Soviet war memorials in Berlin, along with the memorials in Treptower Park and Tiergartan, it is dedicated to the memory of the soldiers of the Soviet army. The largest number of the remains of 13,200 Soviet soldiers who fell during the storm of Berlin in April-May 1945 were buried on the territory of the Pankov memorial. The ceremony was attended by the heads of foreign organizations, representatives of the diplomatic corps and military attachés, German public organizations and ordinary citizens of Germany, the report said.
