406 FAMILIES VICTIM OF CILACAP LANDSLIDE STILL STAYING IN TENTS

Cilacap, Indonesia, Apr 21 (ANTARA) - A total of 406 families, who became victim of a landslide in Karangpucung and Cimanggu subdistricts, Cilacap regency in Central Java on February 1, 2009, are now still staying in makeshift tents.

"They have not returned to their homes yet, because their houses had been seriously damaged by the landslide," executive chairman of the Cilacap regency Natural Disaster Handling Agency Dangir Mulyadi said here Tuesday.

He said the landslide evacuees are still awaiting new places to live, and the relevant authorities are still discussing the cost such facilities would take.***
