President Jeenbekov holds digital dialogue with regions of country

Bishkek, June 4, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, June 4 President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov is holding a meeting with heads of the country's regions and mayors of the cities Bishkek and Osh in the format of a videoconference, his press service reported. The purpose of the digital dialogue is to discuss topical issues of regional development and digitalization of the country, as well as measures to combat coronavirus infection in the regions. The meeting will feature presentations by Dastan Dogoyev, Chairman of the State Committee for Information Technologies and Communication of the Kyrgyz Republic on the role and possibilities of advanced digital technologies in conditions of coronavirus infection spread, and Minister of Education and Science of the republic Kanybek Isakov on the prospects and shortcomings of distance learning. Heads of oblasts and Bishkek, Osh mayors will present information on the implementation of activities in the regions within the framework of the state policy for the digital transformation of the country, and on measures taken to combat the spread of coronavirus infection and its negative impact on the ground.
