Yemen calls for real Arab African partnership
ABUJA, April 21 (Saba)- Deputy Speaker of Parliament Akram Atyah
called on Tuesday for a real Arab-African partnership to stand
against current regional and international challenges.
In Yemen's speech to participants in the Arab -African parliament
conference, Atyah said that the present economic situation in the
Arab and African countries resulted from unfair of the international
economic policy which was based on globalization.
The conference was started in Abuja city of Negara.
Atyah said that the conference reflected historical, cultural and
geographical ties between Asia and Africa, urging for continuing
dialogues and activating recommendations of the previous conferences.
He also reconfirmed stance of Yemen which supported stability and
security of Sudan and Somalia, condemning acts of piracy off Somalia
coastlines and Aden Gulf.
The deputy speaker also pointed out to the suffering of the
Palestinian people due to Israeli occupation and rejection of Israel
for all initiative to set up independent Palestinian state and
al-Quds is its capital.
