Yemen renews obligation in combating racism, racial discrimination

GENEVA, April 21 (Saba) - Yemen renewed confirmation on its
obligation with all its regional and international pledges in
combating racism, racial discrimination and foreigners hatred in
addition to other forms of extremism in order to improve the
situation of rights, freedoms, equality and good life.

The presidential political advisor Abdul-Karim al-Iryani confirmed
that, Yemen widely progressed in passing suitable legislations and
revising national laws to correct behavior against human rights
values and international conventions.

In Yemen's speech on Tuesday in Durban, al-Iryani said that since
the reunification of Yemen in 1990, Yemen has witnessed a noticeable
development in human rights, justice and equality.

He confirmed that it has approved a number of international
conventions to strengthen and protect human rights.
