MONEY PROBLEM BARS OPERATION ON TWINS WITHOUT ANUS
Serang, April 22 (ANTARA) - Twin babies without anuses who were born safely at the Serang General Hospital three days ago have until Wednesday not undergone corrective surgery because the parents cannot pay the operation's cost.
Senin, the twins' farther, had told the hospital that he did not know where to get the money to pay for the operation the babies needed to fix their abnormality.
"I have no money and I don't know where to get it to pay for the operation ," said the man from Tirtayasa sub district in Serang town on Wednesday.
Senin said his twins, born without anus, were still under the care of doctors at the hospital, waiting for the operation but he did not have the money needed for the operation.
Therefore, he let everything concerning his twins up to Almighty God.
"As a human being, we let it up to the power of Allah SwT," Senin said, adding there was no sign of anomaly when his wife was still pregnant.
He said even the delivery process of the twins was without difficulty.
"But I hope there will be philanthropists who can help us for the operation of our babies," Senin said.
Meanwhile, the hospital director dr Budiardjo said the health condition of the twins was good enough but they had to go under the operation.
"The twins are in good condition but remain under intensive treatment," Budiardjo said.
