THOUSANDS ATTEND LAUNCHING OF 'JK FANS CLUB'
Jakarta, April 22 (ANTARA) - Thousands of youths here on Wednesday attended the launching of a 'JK-Fans Club' which supports Jusuf Kalla's fast decision-making capability and pro-people ideas
"We are disappointed if JK is underestimated. We are admirers of JK. JK is our idol," JK-Fans Club chairman Radius Anwar told the press here on Wednesday.
The JK-Fans Club was declared on April 12, 2009. It aims to support Kalla's pro-people ideas. The club has branches in 16 provinces and 50 districts/municipalities.
Up to now, the club has at least 2,500 registered members living in various parts of the country.
Golkar Party Deputy Treasurer Poempida Hidayatullah said meanwhile that the club was an organization separated from Golkar.
"JK-Fans Club was born not by any design on Golkar's part. This is an independent organization which is not in any way related with the party," he said.***1***
