Campaign to root out qat trees in Ibb started

SANA'A, April 22 (Saba)- The local authority of Al-Uadin district
of Ibb governorate started on Tuesday a company of rooting out qat
trees from Anah and al-Dor valleys in the governorate.

In his statement to 26sep.net, the director of the district Abdullah
al-Bokhiti said that the decision of rooting out qat trees comes
within announcement of the two valleys as natural protectorates by
the leadership of the governorate.

Al-Bokhiti added that the local leadership of the governorate issued
generalization in which they asked all to root out qat trees in the
two valleys.

He also said that the district is preparing to organize a festival
to spread awareness about importance of protecting these two valleys.
