Yemen, WFP arrange to implement food security strategy

SANA'A, April 22 (Saba) - Yemen and World Food Programme (WFP)
discussed here on Wednesday the arrangements for implementing the
food security strategy in Yemen.

Minister of Industry and Trade Yahya al-Mutawakel discussed with WFP
representative Gian Carlo Cirri the preparations for the strategy
that would be implemented in the coming six months in cooperation
with World Bank and European Union and concerned governmental bodies.

The two officials also discussed the cooperation aspects between
Yemen and the programme and the requisite means to access to the
people targeted to be availed from the WFP support.

Al-Mutawakel highlighted the plans and strategies of the government
to achieve the security food, hailing the existing cooperation
between the Yemen and the WFP.
