Islamic Bank allocates $ 23 millions to rural electricity
SANA'A, April 22 (Saba)- Islamic Development Bank has agreed to
finance the rural electricity project with $ 23 millions of the
total cost of the project estimated at $117 millions.
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Karim
al-Arhabi the Head of IDB's delegation Saleh Mansour discussed on
Wednesday exiting cooperation between Yemen and the Islamic bank and
means of promoting them.
The two parts signed the meeting's record concerning the bank's
funding to the project. They also discussed details associated with
mechanism of carrying out IDB- funded projects in field of
electricity in 21 districts in Hajjah and Hodeidah.
They also discussed enhancing electric distribution network in 18
governorates to help 200,000 people get access to the service.
